Written by Cuban composer José White, “La Bella Cubana” is one of the most beautiful and beloved works in the Cuban classical repertoire. It begins as a lyrical habanera, with a lively dance section in the middle. A popular classic and a must have for any string player’s library!

La Bella Cubana, by José White (1836-1918). Arranged for string quartet by Patricia Rudisill. Single movement piece, 5’00 in length. Appropriate for intermediate to advanced level students, easily sightread by professionals. First violin part goes up to 5th position, but otherwise not too technically difficult.
